Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist
Dr Agarwal is a senior consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
She completed both her MBBS and postgraduate (MS) degree from the Kanpur University, India and obtained her MRCOG in 2002. After relocating to Singapore, she joined NUH’s O&G department. During her tenure at NUH, she was head of the Division of Benign Gynecology and Minimally Invasive Surgery.
Dr Agarwal has been running subspecialty infertility clinics for more than 15 years now and has been independently performing all assisted reproductive procedures for over 10 years. One of her key achievement was being awarded the “Hind Rattan” (Jewel of India) by the Vice President of India, for her excellent work in successfully performing Asia’s first ovarian tissue cryopreservation and reimplantation, resulting in 2 spontaneous pregnancies and livebirth. The award serves as a recognition for distinguished select Non Resident Indians.
She has also started the first O&G clinic at NTFGH in 2015 and continued to stabilize its running and functioning. By the end of the first year, the service was the fastest profit making clinical service in NTFGH.
Dr Agarwal’s unique holistic perspective across the O&G subspecialties stands her in good stead to deal with more complex cases and her growing private clinical work in obstetrics and reproductive medicine. Aside from general O&G conditions, Dr Agarwal also has a specialist interest in reproductive endocrinology, benign gynecology and endometriosis.
She has a steady stream of repeat and word of mouth patients, as a result of the patients conceiving with her expertise. She is well-known in the medical community and popular with both local and expat patients for her meticulous care and amiable personality.
Passionate about teaching and grooming the next generation of OB-GYNs, Dr Agarwal is a core teaching faculty of the residency program of NUS. She conducts undergraduate lectures and is part of the MBBS curriculum review team, as well as being an examiner for the final MBBS exams for several years. She has also been monitoring postgraduate students for over 13 years and has been invited to train and examine the MRCOG exams in Singapore.
Dr Agarwal is also keen in learning to stay ahead of latest developments and sharing her knowledge with fellow doctors, especially in her key areas of interests. She has also authored, presented and chaired various international seminars and symposiums.
Dr Agarwal is dedicated to offer a holistic fertility service to her patients by guiding and supporting them at every step of the way, to achieve good fertility health and a successful pregnancy.
