Dr Tan Yah Yuen has more than 25 years of clinical experience. Since 2005, she has sub-specialized in the field of breast surgery and provides expertise treatment in the entire spectrum of breast disorders including breast lumps, nipple discharge, breast biopsies and breast cancer at her clinic at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre. She also specializes in minimally invasive techniques in breast surgery, including ultrasound guided vacuum assisted needle biopsies and she has a special interest in sentinel lymph node biopsy and its related techniques. Before establishing her private practice, Dr Tan was Senior Consultant at the Breast Surgery Department at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Singapore. In addition to proctering breast surgeons in the region on modern treatment techniques, she is also widely recognized for her excellent service and compassionate care with several hospital and national awards.
