Mount Alvernia Hospital is a 303-bed private acute care general hospital. It was founded in 1961 by a group of Catholic Sisters from the Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood (FMDM).
The hospital has a 24 Hour Walk-in Clinic, A&E department with ambulance service, health screening centre, as well as many specialist departments. A specialist Brain Centre provides a complete range of services for the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with neurological disorders and a Sports Surgery Centre provides sports medicine services including medical consultation, rehabilitation, injury prevention, surgery, exercise management, nutrition and education.
